Fuzzibutt's Angora Fiber is for  Fiberholics who are looking for something a little different in terms of fluffy, luxurious and squishy fiber. We offer 100% English Angora fiber, 100% Giant Angora or a mixture of the two fibers.

This is available right from one of bunnies for you to spin in "raw" form, or hand spun 100% English Angora, 100% Giant Angora or a mixture of 50% English Angora & 50% Giant Angora Skeins.

At times we have inquiries regarding our Angora rabbit wool/fiber availability. If interested feel free to message me.

Our angora fiber/wool is Always humanely and ethically harvested from our rabbits either by shearing with scissors/Clippers to trim the wool off gently and carefully or by easily plucking fiber that is ready to be released naturally. Every angora is treated with respect, love, and lots of cuddles.

Angora fiber is known for it's softness and its "Halo" of delicate fluff around the fiber/yarn.  The wool is hand spun by me on my Kromski Fantasia Spinning Wheel. Angora yarn/fiber is extremely warm and one of the softest fibers.

We are working closely with The Bill Sims Wool and Mohair Research Laboratory, housed at the Texas A&M University Agricultural Research and Extension Center (now Texas AgriLife Research), San Angelo, Texas to have our English Angora and Giant Angora "Fiber Tested."

The OFDA200 is an instrument that is used by the research center to rapidly, accurate measurement of diameter, length, curvature (crimp), mean and distribution of many the fiber.

Micron count/measurement is the expressed micron average of the diameters of the fibers in the sample that was evaluated.

We chose to have our fiber tested to learn more about what our show line is producing in terms of fiber characteristics. Very few angora fiber breeders if any have there fiber tested.

100% Angora English Angora or Giant Angora wool available right from the bunny

Our "raw" fiber is Graded as follows:

Grade 1-Prime/Premium Fiber has a stable length no less than 4 inches (often times it is longer due to show coats and when they are clipped down). This fiber comes from there backs and sides (where the longest fiber is).

Grade 2- is from the lower shoulders, chest, and belly this wool has a stable length no less than 2 inches and often times up to 3 inches

Grade 3- is fiber that I would consider "junk fiber." This is what I use to felt, test dye and crafts. This is less 1-2 inches in stable length. This is usually clean, felted fiber.

Skeins, Yarns, Handmade crowls, hats and scarves  from our Award Winning show bunnies all 100% Angora Fiber & Handmade

Since I offer hand spun yarn, I do not Guarantee against knots, neps, noils or vm. This is what makes the Hand spun Yarn a "One of a Kind" piece.  Due to the nature of hand spun yarn each skein is unique, no two are exactly alike. There are slight variations in the thickness.

At times I may sell fiber that I have purchased from other angora people/vendors and offer it as Spun Skeins by myself or I may offer the item the way it was purchased. If I do this I will list where the fiber was purchased from in the details of the item.

Handmade items made to order. These items would make lovely and thoughtful birthday or Christmas gifts or even any time gifts: Crowls, Hats, Scarves
